About This Course

Immunization averts millions of deaths every year and is one of the most cost-effective health interventions known. This course, aligned with WHO and Gavi guidance, covers the science and practice of the Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI) as implemented in South Sudan: how vaccines work, the national immunisation schedule, the cold chain system, safe injection and vaccination technique, recording and microplanning, monitoring coverage and dropout, adverse events, and reaching every child through outreach and campaigns. It is designed for vaccinators, nurses, county EPI officers, community health workers, and anyone supporting immunisation services.
